ALL construction projects create jobs !

So, build houses instead to solve the housing crisis !

Alto's construction cost is at least $80 billion. (I believe it's much higher.)

Sure, that creates construction jobs.

Actually, let's say that you tear down a whole university in Montreal or Toronto, and build a big Egyptian pyramid in its place?

Yeah, that would create a lot of construction jobs too. But it doesn't make it a good project.

So, let's look at building houses.

Canada needs 3.2 million new homes by 2035, according to parliament. See the article below.

The government wouldn't pay the entire bill for the homes, of course. But it could cheaply give grants and subsidies to encourage people to build the new homes.

If the government gives an incentive of $25,000 for every new home created, that would also cost $80 billion -- all across Canada.

The housing crisis is then solved.

Or do we use the same money to build a railway that gets you from Toronto to Montreal 21 minutes faster?

Where are our priorities?

Parliament person says we need 3.2 million homes
